Bay to Bay Yacht Race. Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th May 2008

| An annual race held for many boat categories starts with a dinner on Friday night then the race day breakfast at the Tin Can Bay Yacht Club before up to 80 yachts head up the Great Sandy Straits. The Saturday night stop is at Gary's Anchorage on Fraser Island before the final race to Hervey Bay Yacht Club for presentations to winners on Sunday. |

| Tin Can bay holds an annual Seafood Festival, which has grown over the years as a very popular and well-attended day of family fun and entertainment. Food outlets and bar facilities, retail stalls and fishing industry information displays are placed along the magnificent foreshore parklands. There are Mullet throwing and prawn eating competitions, Fashion Parades, Clowns and Magic shows for the kids. Live music through out the day and Of course the ever-popular Helicopter Joy Flights over the beautiful bay. Flower Show. Saturday 21st June 2008

| The annual Cooloola Coast Ambulance Flower Show has been held for many years and local gardeners look forward to the big competition where there are great prizes for winning entries. This year there is an added category for Photographers. As well as viewing the huge range of flower and plant entries, display and plant stalls, music, art & craft, a delicious afternoon tea makes this a lovely afternoon. | The Tin Can Bay model flying club host the annual War Birds ( Brisbane chapter ) on the first weekend in May. All visitors are welcome to view the displays and enjoy the aerobatics of both the model planes and helicopters. |
